Depression and Anxiety in Children and Young Person

Are you a parent carer in North Somerset? If you child struggling with depression or anxiety? Join us for some support!

This interactive training session is designed to support parent carers in understanding depression and anxiety in children and young people. It will explore what these conditions look like at different ages, common signs and symptoms, and how they can affect everyday life, learning, behaviour, and relationships.

The session will provide practical strategies to help parent carers build emotional resilience, offer effective support at home, and respond confidently to emotional distress. It will also cover when and how to seek further support, including accessing local services and resources.

By the end of the training, participants will feel more informed, empowered, and confident in supporting the emotional wellbeing and mental health of the children and young people in their care.

This is a free training event for parent carers of children with additional needs and/or disabilities within North Somerset. This event is also open to professionals who work with children/young people with additional needs and/or disabilities in North Somerset. Priority on place allocation will be given based on the criteria above.
